Door Staff will be focused on welcoming guests to NPBC and instructing guests how to best enjoy our Taproom. Door Staff will create a friendly and safe environment for our guests, and pay special attention to refuse service to intoxicated or underage guests, in a respectful manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet all guests at the door with enthusiasm and friendliness.
Offer a hand stamp to patrons who have proven to be 21 years old or older and are not showing signs of intoxication.
Educating new guests as how to best enjoy their experience at our Taproom.
Keeping the Taproom guests happy and safe while being friendly, polite, and respectful.
Escorting guests out the door who appear to have become a danger to the Taproom guests or business practice.
Working with Taproom Managers to observe and report any illegal activities to the authorities.
Aiding Taproom Management in filling out an Incident Report Form when needed.
Working with local law enforcement when needed to subdue unruly guests.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Prior work experience with bar/restaurant, brewery, winery, and/or retail experience.
Possess demonstrated leadership skills.
Possess basic math skills.
Possess or be able to obtain a food handler’s card and training on alcohol service.
Possess working knowledge of beer and craft beer industry.
Possess strong knowledge and enforcement of ABC laws.
Possess awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
Able to communicate effectively and be understood in English.
Able to lift heavy objects (25 – 50 lbs.) on a continual basis. Able to transport up to 160 lbs. (full kegs) with assistance. Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours per shift. Able to work in crowded and confined spaces.
Able to operate or able to quickly learn Point of Sale system.
Able to maintain excellent customer service and professional appearance suitable for guest interaction while working under pressure.
